Yotta Infrastructure, a leading data center company, has announced plans to invest Rs 39,000 crore in Uttar Pradesh over the coming 5-7 years, according to a senior company executive speaking on Monday.
Under a memorandum of agreement inked with the Uttar Pradesh government, the Hiranandani Group entity has pledged investment.
At the launch event of Yotta D1 data center, Darshan Hiranandani, Co-founder and Chairman of Yotta Infrastructure, informed reporters that the investments will be allocated for the construction of the data center campus as well as the acquisition of IT equipment and other hardware by both Yotta and its clients.
"We will see investment of Rs 39,000 crore in and around this campus. The first building has already been completed... We have started work for two other buildings which will be completed in 12-15 months. We will put up one building every 18 month," Hirandani said.
The committed investment includes investment made for Yotta D1.
Sunil Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO of Yotta Infrastructure, stated that each data center would require an investment of Rs 6,500 crore. The committed funding is designated for six data centers. Gupta mentioned that work has already commenced for D2 and DE, both of which are projected to be completed within 12-15 months.
With an investment of approximately Rs 1,500 crore, the company has established the Yotta D1 hyperscale data center at its Greater Noida Data Center Park.
Furthermore, during the launch ceremony, the foundation stone laying ceremony for the upcoming two data center structures, Yotta D2 and D3, was also conducted.
The company plans to inject an extra Rs 5,000 crores into IT equipment for Yotta D1.
Yotta D1 boasts a capacity to accommodate 5,000 racks spread across seven server floors, providing fail-safe, 48-hour power backup at full load.
Covering an area of 20 acres, the Yotta Greater Noida Data Center Park will provide a combined capacity of 30,000 racks, along with 4 dedicated fiber paths and an IT power capacity of 160 megawatts.
