The Hiranandani Group, known for its real estate ventures, is stepping into the semiconductor industry with Tarq Semiconductors. They've applied to build two facilities in Uttar Pradesh: an Assembly, Testing, Marking, and Packaging (ATMP) unit, and a compound semiconductor fab plant. These semiconductors are crucial for things like LED lights and cars because they can handle high power and temperatures.
CEO Darshan Hiranandani hopes the government approves their compound semiconductor fab project within two months. They're partnering with firms from the US and Japan for expertise. This venture aims to address India's energy needs and boost energy efficiency. The company plans to invest Rs 2,500 crore in the ATMP facility.
Hiranandani Group also provides data center services through Yotta. By the year-end, they aim to be India's largest data center provider. They're expanding into cloud services, with plans to launch an indigenously developed public cloud platform in October. This move signifies their commitment to technological advancement and addressing India's growing needs in the digital sphere.
